CNC Turner
Job Description
Our client, a Tooling company in Rotherham; require an experienced CNC Machinist, the successful candidate will have CNC turning experience.
The position is for 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7am – 4pm and Friday 7am – 12:00pm, occasional flexibility may be required. Default shift pattern is a standard day shift
Job Responsibilities
The candidate will operate CNC turning machines operating from 2 axis CNC lathes and working to tight tolerances.
Verify conformity of parts using gauges – sending first off parts for CMM measurement
Operate single/multi axis CNC machines and produce parts to achieve the production schedule and product specifications.
Comply with all Quality Management System (QMS) and Health and Safety requirements.
Highlight any areas of non-conformance, accurately maintain all records and documentation, notify the appropriate person(s) when problems are encountered.
Ensure that the work area is maintained to a high standard of housekeeping and all equipment is maintained to a good and safe working condition.
Skills + Experience
A sound understanding of both manual and CNC turning is essential.
Experience working in an engineering environment is essential.
Have the ability to read and understand engineering drawings
Programming experience would be advantageous.
Ability to work under pressure.
