Distribution Administrative Assistant
Job Description
Adept are working with a very reputable manufacturing company in Rotherham. They are currently seeking a Distribution Administrative Assistant to join their team.
Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday (8:30am - 5pm, with 4:30pm finish on a Friday)
Job Responsibilities
Support of office staff in day to day working activities for which training will be provided
Support distribution transport booking and control
Administration of paperwork
Support the processing of picking lists and shipping of goods
Liaising with the various department as and where necessary
Working to strict timeframes whilst ensuring accuracy at all times
Answering calls and transferring them as necessary
Booking in collections via email and phone
Carrying out quality checks on assembled loads when required
Processing departmental queries relating to stock movement
Support staff in the perpetual stock taking
Releasing paperwork for despatchers to the hauliers
Assisting Transport Coordinator with invoice queries
Skills + Experience
Numerate and literate (GCSE or equivalent)
PC literate
Have basic problem solving ability
Have a current valid fork truck license (training provided)
Knowledge of spreadsheets and Word experience
Motivated and professional with a desire to achieve results with a commercial and customer focus
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to prioritise and delegate
Self-resilient and capable of making difficult decisions
