NDT Technician
Job Description
Adept are excited to be working with a reputable Oil & Gas manufacturer based in Bredbury with an outstanding reputation in the engineering industry who are looking to recruit a NDT technician to join their team.
Reporting to the NDT Manager, you will be responsible for aspects of non-destructive testing including ultrasonic, dye-penetrant, magnetic particle inspection and testing and visual and dimensional inspection.
Shift pattern: Monday to Thursday 7am – 4pm & Fridays 7am – 1pm
Job Responsibilities
Dealing with UT based queries.
Generation of Inspection certification.
Advising Sales on acceptability / suitably of proposed customer specifications.
Hands-on Ultrasonic testing.
Hands-on die-penetrant inspection / testing.
Hands-on magnetic particle inspection / testing.
Hands-on visual inspection.
Hands-on dimensional inspection.
Packing of goods for dispatch, if required.
Marking of products prior to dispatch, if required.
Skills + Experience
Positive Material Identification (PMI).
Experience in a similar work environment.
Excellent working knowledge of technical documentation, positive material identification and final dimensional inspection.
Flexible, pro-active and self-motivated approach to work.
Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Excellent communication and liaison skills.
Level 2 Magnetic Particle Qualification.
Level 2 Ultrasonic Qualification.
Level 2 Die-Penetrant Inspection Qualification.
Level 2 Visual inspection Qualification.
Slinging / Crane Operation qualification.
Experience/qualifications in Immersion Ultrasonic.
Fork Lift Truck License, overhead crane experience.
NAS410 qualification and experience.
