Payroll Assistant

Job Description

Adept are working with a client who are searching for a talented individual with a passion for numbers and a keen eye for detail. If you have experience in benefits administration, data analysis, and general ledger accounting, we would love to hear from you.


Part-time hours: 25 per week

Salary: £18,000.00-£19,000.00 per year

Job Responsibilities

- Ensure accurate maintenance of employee records

- Address employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits

- Analyse payroll data to identify areas for improvement

- Resolve any discrepancies in payroll accounts

- Support benefits administration, including enrolment and changes

- Conduct general ledger accounting and reconciliation

- Perform double entry bookkeeping

- Skilfully manage debits and credits

Skills + Experience

- Efficiently process employee payroll

- A minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a related field

- Knowledge of governmental accounting regulations

- Proficiency in general ledger accounting and reconciliation

- Exceptional attention to detail

- Excellent communication skills

- Ability to handle confidential information

- Proficient in data entry
